James Able

1927 – 2022

James Able beloved husband of the late Audrey Able, passed away peacefully at Cedar Creek Adaptacare on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at the age of 95 years.

Jim will be missed by his daughter Lynne (Bill) Anderson and son Dave (Lani) Able, 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Jim was born in County Durham, Seaham Harbour, England. He was a veteran of WWII with the British Navy travelling the world on an Air Craft Carrier starting at the age of 18. He met his future wife Audrey while in the Navy, and they were married in 1950 and immigrated to Canada in 1954. Over the years he lived and worked in Peterborough, Calgary, Burlington and finally settling for life in Lethbridge in 1970.

He is predeceased by his parents and 8 siblings.

As per Jim’s request, a private Service will be held to Celebrate Jim’s Life on Saturday, October 1, 2022.

Charles “Chuck” Cockerill

1964 – 2022

Mr. Chuck Cockerill of Lethbridge, beloved spouse of Monique Hoefer, and father to Cheyenne and Chase, passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at the age of 58 years.

Jacqueline “Jackie” De Kok

1943 – 2022

Mrs. Jacqueline “Jackie” de Kok of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Mr. Peter de Kok, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the age of 79 years.

Jackie worked at Thriftway Pharmacy for 25 years. She spent 30 years volunteering and organizing in minor hockey and elite hockey. Then continued to follow her 2 grandsons through their hockey careers. She spent the young years of her life till she passed away with First United Church. It was her second home, and she was truly devoted to her faith.

Besides her loving husband Peter H. de Kok, Jackie is survived by her daughter Bonnie (Colin) Jean Marriott; son Peter (Marcia) John de Kok; grandchildren Aaron (Jessica) Jeffrey Peter de Kok and Ryan Michael Peter de Kok; brother and sister in laws, Hank (Margaret) de Kok, John (Marilyn) de Kok, Jane (Andrew) Feyter, Jack (Colleen) de Kok, Harvey (Hetty) de Kok, as well as numerous nieces nephews and their families.

Jackie is predeceased by her parents John and Elsie Jackson.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Reverend Glenda Wert officiating.

Paul Maloff

1943 – 2022

Mr. Paul Maloff of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Marilyn Maloff; father to Kendal and Taenia and grandfather to Kayleigh, passed away at home, on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the age of 79 years.

Paul will be privately remembered by his family and friends.

Mr. Glenn Morrison of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Joyce Morrison, passed away at St. Therese Villa on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at the age of 87 years.
