MERCER, Kinley
KINLEY RACHEL MERCER Apr. 10, 2022 – Nov. 12, 2022 With profound sadness and heavy hearts, the family of Kinley Rachel Mercer share of her passing on Saturday November 12, 2022, at the age of seven months. Kinley passed away peacefully in her parents’ arms, comforted by the love of her family.
Born on April 10, 2022, Kinley is loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting her. She spent her short life surrounded by family; camping, giggling, and playing super girl with her big sister Oaklynn. Kinley was happy, curious, and sweet-tempered. At 4 months old Kinley was diagnosed with a rare form of kidney cancer and began treatment right away. She was brave, strong, and courageous and continually surprised all with her ability to fight.
We would like to thank the phenomenal team of medical professionals at the Alberta Children’s Hospital and Rotary Flames House.
Kinley will be lovingly remembered by her parents Peter and Tristin Mercer, sister Oaklynn, dog Dex; grandparents, Rod and Lori Adamson, Iain and Janet Mercer; great-grandfather Larry Adamson; great-grandmother Elsa Wever as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Welcomed into heaven by great grandparents Alex and Joan Rachel Mercer; Rients Wever; Arlene Adamson and Doug and Shirra Main.
Kinley will always be a reminder to smile, love fiercely and be present. Her legacy will live on through acts of kindness and love.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday November 19th, 2022, at 2:30pm at the MARANATHA CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH 260 McGill Blvd W, Lethbridge, AB T1K 4C6.

On March 29, 1955, she married Bill Poelman. They were blessed with a devoted marriage until Bill passed away on April 21, 2020. Hetty was an important part of a successful grain farm she owned with Bill until spring 1995, when they retired into Fort Macleod. They lived happily there for many years until they moved to Lethbridge for a couple of years and then to Calgary for the rest of their lives. Hetty blessed all her family and many guests by graciously welcoming them with her hospitality and delicious food. She took tremendous joy and delight in each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Hetty was very involved in the community of the Granum Christian Reformed Church, where she was a lifetime member. From her teen years until well into her 60s, she regularly played organ for worship services and many weddings and funerals. She always was part of the church’s study groups and aid committees. With Bill she faithfully visited those in need of company, consolation or encouragement. Despite health challenges in her later years, she had a strong faith in her Saviour and was content to pass peacefully into His heavenly presence on November 15, 2022.

RASMUSSEN, Scott
RASMUSSEN SCOTT MURRAY RASMUSSEN, loving husband, son, brother, and father, passed away suddenly in Lethbridge on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the age of 57 years.
Scott’s memories, love, and spirit will be forever carried by his loving wife; Katherine, his children; Jenna and Erin, his mother; Elisha (Collin), his brother; Dwight (Brenda), his nieces and nephews; Alexandra, Brandon, and Kieran, his wonderful extended family, and many dear friends.
Scott was known as a calm, warm, and light-hearted soul with a sense of humor that would brighten an entire room. He enjoyed the simple things in life and he was always the first to offer a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Scott was a master of his craft of carpentry and a jack of all trades, and always made time for a good round of golf. His love of nature prevailed, and was apparent with all of the time he spent at his favorite place, the cabin and the trailer. He chatted with the chippies and tinkered with the fixing. More than anything, he took the time to stay present and appreciate the little things. He was a quiet man on the outside but shared his wisdoms with his family he cared so much about. Quality time spent with family and friends was of utmost importance to him. He had so much love to give to those in his life, but above all, his daughters were his whole world.
His infectious laughter, adoration of all animals, and love of all those he cared about made him the wonderful man that we were so fortunate to know. He will be truly missed.
A Celebration of Scott’s Life will be held at THE CANADIAN POLISH HALL, 745 – 13 Street North, Lethbridge, AB, on Friday, November 18, 2022. The doors will open at 1:00 PM and the service will begin at 2:00 PM.

KIMMEL, Raymond
KIMMEL RAYMOND “HOWARD” KIMMEL, was born in Drumheller, AB, July 3, 1958 and passed away November 7, 2022 at 64 years old, on route to Calgary Foothills Hospital.
Howard was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Charlotte Kimmel and his sisters, Donna Walter and Terry McQuaker.
Howard will be lovingly remembered by his children: Jessie (Rob) McNabb, Ginger (Daniel) Wood, Angela (Mike) Onda and Terry (Sabrina) Lowen; special friend, Lucille Hobelsberger; grandchildren: Marti-Beth, Morgan, Maria-Ray, Memphis and Maverick McNabb, Makoy, Phoenix and Dax Wood, Trystin, Morgan, and Jordan Onda, and Samara, Mitchell and Bethany Lowen; and his siblings, Beverly (Rob) Callow, Nadine (Dave) Young and Harvey Kimmel as well as many nieces and nephews.
Howard had many friends and family, even though a large group of people was a “NO THANKS”, he enjoyed one-on-one with so many. He was a very generous soul; he was always ready to help when needed. He was quick to laugh and enjoyed joking around. Howard was extremely organized and everything he had sparkled. He had an amazing work ethic and was very motivated to go above and beyond. He loved seeing different places; being in the truck was work, but he enjoyed the scenery, the solitude and making acquaintances along the way. In recent years, he bought a Goldwing motorbike and rode it as much as he could with friends; he really loved that.
Howard you will be missed by so many of us. From your laugh, to your random comments that make us question what we’re doing at that particular moment, you were taken far too soon.
Rest In Peace Highway man. Love you.
A Celebration of Howard’s Life will be held at Jessie & Rob’s Ranch, north of North Battleford, SK, on Monday, July 3, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. All of Howard’s close family and friends are welcome to attend.
