CARLEY, Glenda CARLEY Glenda Joyce Carley passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023 in Lethbridge, Alberta at the age of 60 years.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Christensen Salmon Generations Funeral Home, 703 – 13 Street North, Lethbridge.

LAMB, Carol LAMB Dear family and friends, we are sad to share that on November 5, 2023, our beloved Carol Ann (Purfield) Lamb (age 72), passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.
Friends may meet with the family from 12:00 to 12:45 P.M. on Friday, November 10, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lethbridge North Stake Centre, Lethbridge, AB., (560 Highlands Blvd West). RALPH, Darcy RALPH Darcy Lloyd Ralph, of Raymond, AB, beloved husband, father, and grandpa, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 68 years of age. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Marilyn Ralph, and children, Jenna (Josh), Avrey (Cody), Randon (Amanda), and Connor (Oshana), and 13 grandchildren.

Virginia Johnson (née Smith), passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 29, 2023 in Ogden, Utah just before midnight.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the church prior to the funeral service on Saturday, November 11, 2023 between 1:00 P.M. and 1:40 P.M.

Virginia is survived by her daughter-in-law Shauri Johnson of Orem, Utah; children Camilla (Brian “Flip”) Phillips of Barnwell, Valerie (Raymond) Goodwin of Littleton, Colorado, Marilee (JR) Ching of Laie, Hawaii, Larry (Melanie) Johnson of Saratoga Springs, Utah, Larita (Jeff) Barfuss of Airdrie and Darla (Scott) Brandley of Taylor, Utah; twenty six grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Wayne (Gina) Smith, Gary (Rosanne) Smith, Nonavee Campbell and Leonard Smith; sister-in-law Maurine Johnson and brother-in-law Ralph Sabey.
She was predeceased by her husband Beverly Johnson; son Delyle Johnson; grandson Thomas Johnson; parents Henry and Laura Smith; siblings Margaret Smith, Sylvan Elray Smith, Jessie Demont Smith, Chase (Bea) Smith and Marvin Smith.
Virginia was born in Cardston on April 19, 1936 to Henry Thomas Smith and Laura Louise Smith (née Tolley). The small community of Hartleyville, Alberta was her childhood home with her five brothers and one sister. She loved living in the shadow of Chief Mountain and roaming the countryside on her horse Tiny. The apple of her father’s eye, she excelled academically, especially in math, and graduated from Glenwood High School. After graduation she attended the University of Calgary where she obtained her teaching degree. Virginia accepted her first teaching position at Barnwell School at the young age of nineteen, where she met the love of her life, James Beverly Johnson. They were married in the Idaho Falls Temple on February 1,1957. Virginia continued teaching school full time and finally became Barnwell’s go to sub while raising her and Bev’s seven children.
An active member of the community, she was involved in many church callings as well as many literacy programs, which shared her lifelong love of learning.
A talented artist in many mediums, she spent her days creating. She would say, “I need to do something creative every day.” It made her happy.
Family history, indexing and connecting to her ancestors was one of her greatest legacies. She loved the temple and had such joy working there with her sweetheart for many years.
After living in Barnwell for sixty seven years, she decided to sell her beloved condo that her sweetheart had built for them, and moved to Ogden, Utah to live with her daughter. She was sad to leave all her many friends and family, but was ready for a new adventure. The last year of her life was spent traveling the world, enjoying each one of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

GLOER, Marilyn MARILYN GLOER 1942 – 2023 Marilyn May Gloer of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Dale Gloer, passed away peacefully at 81 years of age on October 31, 2023, after a lengthy illness. A special thank you to the staff at St. Therese Villa who provided such loving care and support in her final days.
Marilyn was born on March 19, 1942, to Allen and May Phair in Yellowknife, NWT. That same year the family moved to Kimberley, BC and later, to Marysville, BC. Marilyn always enjoyed participating in music activities and played clarinet in the school band. Her family attended a small church in Marysville where she played piano and organ through her high school years. While attending various churches, Marilyn found pleasure in singing with the church choirs. After high school, she studied at the University of Victoria, Faculty of Education and went on to teach elementary grades in Fort St. John and Cranbrook, BC and later, in Ottawa, ON. Marilyn and Dale were married on August 21, 1971, when their first child arrived, she became a stay-at-home mom until their youngest child was in middle school. When she decided to return to the workforce, Marilyn pursued further education to enable her to teach English as a Second Language (ESL). She then taught Adult ESL for a number of years while living in Ontario. After retiring and moving to Lethbridge, Marilyn continued to teach ESL as a volunteer tutor through the Lethbridge Public Library’s Read On Program. Marilyn went to the Ukraine several times to teach ESL to university students during the summer session. And lastly, at the Evangelical Free Church of Lethbridge, where Marilyn was an active member, she lent her skills in ESL to a program called English Conversation Cafe.
Marilyn was predeceased by her parents, Allen and May Phair; her sister-in-law, Val Phair; and nephew, John Robert McArthur.
She is survived by her loving husband Dale Gloer; her daughter Lana (Grant) Wilkinson and their daughters Abigail and Elizabeth, son Kevin (Joy) Gloer and their son Kieran; son Ryan; her sister Marie (Dan) McArthur; brother Bill Phair, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 pm, on Friday, November 10, 2023, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610, 4 STREET SOUTH, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Pastor Dave Acree, officiating. A private family Interment will be held prior at Mountain View Cemetery.
