TWIGG, Chantelle TWIGG With broken hearts and crushed spirits, we the family of Chantelle Ann Twigg sadly announce her sudden passing at the tender age of 24, on November 16th, 2023, in Calgary Alberta. It came as a shock and heart wrenching sorrow to be notified of her passing. Chantelle leaves to mourn her Twigg and Humphry families. Although they were in their adopted homes her 2 children Aria Clare, and Chase Shade whom she loved and adored enough to let live with more appropriate family members. Also left to mourn are her siblings Brittany, John, and Celina Twigg. Her special adopted siblings Keelie (Casey) Scout, Coleman Twigg, Casey (Bryan) Quinton, Antonio (Jodi) Twigg, Christian (Kaitlyn) Twigg, CJ Twigg, Tarasina (Cobin) Youngpine (deceased), Michael (Brittany) Twigg, Shania (Charlie) Soup, Jayden Soup, Keenan Soup, Abigail Twigg (deceased), Yolanda Alexander (deceased), Riley Twigg and Dylan Twigg (deceased). Her special adopted mom Carolyn Twigg, her grandmother Bernadette Davis, her aunts and uncles Roxanne (Alfie) Lowhorn, Annette Twigg, Michelle (Byron) Bruisedhead, Desiree Auger, Leslie Humphry, Brandy Bellhumer, Leo Paul, Clayton, Cory, Wayne (Tiffany) Twigg. Her great aunts and uncles Veronica (Ray) Brewer, Christine Bigthroat, Linda Bellhumer, and Pat Bellhumer. She also leaves behind to mourn her passing, her nieces and nephews Kaydence, Jasmin, Joshua, Christina, Tina, Annette, Aliyah, Rhonda, Lane, Chloe, and Lacey. She is predeceased by her parents Joshua Levi and Christel Lee Twigg, one sibling Lane Twigg. Her Grandparents James and Celina Twigg, Chris and Rhonda Humphry. And her auntie Kris Twigg and Lenora Geraldine Twigg.
Chantelle was born on January 25th to her parents Joshua Levi and Christel Twigg, she resided with her parents until she was 8 years old when she moved in with her aunt Carolyn Twigg. She lived with her auntie until she was 15 years old before moving back to her parents in Fort Macleod. Chantelle in her early years resided on the blood reserve before moving to Lethbridge, Coalhurst, and Fort Macleod Alberta. Chantelle received her education at Saipoyi Elementary, Father Leonard Van Tighem, and Coalhurst High schools. During her school years Chantelle was extremely athletic and was a part of many sports teams, in grade 5 she played basketball and volleyball at FLVT. She also played for her grade 7 basketball team for Coalhurst High, and even joining the Coalhurst Soccer team. Upon completion of her schooling she received employment at Bouvry in Fort Macleod.
She was extremely outgoing with many friends and often got into mischief. Growing up she was cute and was always full of laughter. The family always enjoyed poking fun with her because she had a good sense of humour. She had a diva personality but was also loving and kind. She was small but never shied away from a fight. When she lived with her auntie Carolyn, she was respectful and compliant and did not infringe on household rules. Chantelle’s life was moving in the right direction, and she had a lot of dreams and plans for the future for herself and her 2 children. When her dad passed suddenly due to a heart attack, Chantelle became despondent as she was unable to cope with his death, eventually she fell into a dark path. No amount of love, pleading, encouragement and advice would lead Chantelle back to her family. She eventually moved to Calgary where she lost her life due to her addictions. We are left with the “if only’s” to ponder with for the rest of our lives. She has entrusted in us, 2 beautiful children to compensate for those moments when her passing is unbearable. It gives us great comfort to know that Aria and Chase will be adequately loved and cared for by their adopted families, Naomi and Chris Shade and Carolyn Twigg.
A wake service will be held at the Tanner Senior Centre, Cardston on Wednesday, November 29th, 2023 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at The Immaculate Conception Church (St Mary’s Catholic Church) Blood Reserve, on Thursday November 30th, 2023 at 11:00am. Interment at the Twigg Family Cemetery.

Teresa had a wonderful, sparkling personality, and will be missed for a heart full of laughter and a positive outlook on life, that she tried to share and encourage in others every day. There is no one who knew her that will ever forget her lust for life and connections to others. From her annual hosting of Thunder in the Valley, those that loved and cherished her will always remember Teresa for making them a part of her life, because it was bringing people together, and sharing what she felt life had to offer, that was the most precious and integral aspect of who Teresa was.
Every moment with her was a marvelous one, and there is no one who knew her that did not consider themselves lucky to be included in her life!
