VAN GARDEREN, Aafje AAFJE VAN GARDEREN 1955 – 2023 Psalm 39:4 Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am. With deep sorrow we announce the sudden passing away of our dear wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Aafje Van Garderen-Stigter at the age of 68 years on November 30, 2023.
Opportunity for Condolences will be held from 7:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at the NETHERLANDS REFORMED CONGREGATION OF PICTURE BUTTE, 601 3A STREET, Picture Butte, Alberta.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am, on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the NETHERLANDS REFORMED CONGREGATION OF PICTURE BUTTE, 601 3A STREET, Picture Butte, Alberta, with Reverend E. C. Adams, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Memorial Cemetery of Picture Butte, Alberta.

CARPENTER, Edward “Ed” EDWARD “ED” CARPENTER 1942 – 2023 Mr. Edward “Ed” Carpenter of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Elaine Carpenter, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the age of 81 years.

HUMMEL, Willem “Bill” WILLEM (BILL) HUMMEL 1930 – 2023 Mr. Willem Hummel of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Diana “Diny” Hummel, passed into glory at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, December 4, 2023, at the age of 93 years.

HUMPHREYS, Richard “Rick” RICHARD “RICK” WAYNE HUMPHREYS The family of Richard “Rick” Wayne Humphreys is saddened to announce his passing on December 2, 2023, in Cardston, Alberta, at the age of 64 years.
A Funeral service will be held December 16, 2023 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints The Garden Place Chapel (170 Centre St N, Magrath, Alberta). The service will begin at 11:00AM with friends meet family from 10:00AM to 10:45AM.

BACZUK, Leona LEONA BACZUK (BYE) 1941 – 2023 Mrs. Leona Baczuk of Milk River, beloved wife of the late Mr. Joe Baczuk, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023, at the age of 82 years.
Leona was born February 3, 1941, in Great Falls, Montana, and grew up in Sweetgrass, Montana. On June 9, 1960, Leona married Joe Baczuk from Milk River where she resided until her passing.
Left to mourn are her children Monica Baczuk, Beverly Baczuk (David English), Valerie (Billy) Schamber, Ina Baczuk (Brent Schaible), and Jeanie Baczuk (Brendan Cummins).
Leona is also survived by her five grandchildren Kendall (Chad) Valgardson, Chad Patey, Lance (Caitlyn) Schamber, Ashleigh English, and Skye Cummins; seven great-grandchildren Wyatt, Weston, Walker and Wynn Valgardson, Kaceton, Elliette and Laynee Schamber; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Leona was predeceased by her beloved husband Joe Baczuk; her parents Eva and Lawrence Bye; her brothers Eldon and Ralph Bye; and her nephew Griff Bye.
Mom will be remembered for her perseverance, quick wit, and giving spirit.
Leona’s family would like to thank the staff at Continuing Care in Milk River, her home of eight years, for their compassionate and supportive care.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, on Friday December 8, 2023, at ST. PETER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 301 MAIN ST NW, Milk River, Alberta, with Keith Dangerfield officiating.
A private Graveside Service will follow.
