HANNA, Rosalie

ROSALIE MARVEL HANNA 1939 – 2023 Mrs. Rosalie Marvel Hanna of Picture Butte and Lethbridge, beloved mother of Terry, Donna, Bev, and Murray, passed away peacefully, but unexpectedly in her home on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at the age of 84 years.

SERA, Elizabeth

ELIZABETH SERA 1926 – 2024 Mrs. Elizabeth Sera of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Alex Sera passed away at Legacy Lodge on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the age of 97 years.
Elizabeth was born in Hungary on March 18, 1926. In the 1930’s, she and her family emigrated to Canada and settled in the Magrath area of Southern Alberta. She married the love of her life on May 24, 1945. She and her loving husband Alex purchased a farm together in Coaldale where they raised six children. The farm produced award winning purebred Angus cattle, sugar beets, and grain. In 1972, they sold the family farm and moved to Lethbridge. With their retirement they enjoyed many cold Alberta winters motor-homing in Arizona. Elizabeth’s greatest pride was in her family and enjoying her children and grandchildren. She felt very fortunate to have been blessed with a fulfilling life and 65 years of marriage with her husband Alex. Her life was defined by always selflessly being there for others.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Carolyn Handsaeme, and sons Ron (Darlene), Allen (Dorothy), Bob (Evelyn), Richard (Carrie), son-in-law Albert Medve, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Alex, eldest daughter Shirley Medve, and son-in-law Clair Handsaeme.

BROZINSKI, Sigrid

BROZINSKI It is with sadness we announce the peaceful passing of SIGRID BROZINSKI on Friday, January 5, 2024 in Lethbridge, AB, at the age of 92 years. Sigrid returned to her heavenly home to be reunited with her husband (Horst), step daughter (Carmen), daughter-in-law (Marilyn), brothers and sister, parents, and extended family.
She will be missed by her daughter Christina Romeril (Fred Romeril), son, Stephan Brozinski (Debbie Kurd), grandsons: Jordan MacLean, Josh MacLean (Tegan Matthews), Justin MacLean (Taylor MacLean), Tanner Brozinski, granddaughters: Spencer MacLean (Braeden Criddle), Megan Brozinski, as well as her great grandchildren, and brother, Gerhard Holzhaus. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Funeral Service will take place at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Friday, January 12 at 1:00 pm. Following the service, she will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Cardston cemetery.

SALMON MARILYN JOAN SALMON, nee Sandusky, beloved wife of Cal Salmon, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024 in Cardston, AB, at the age of 84 years. Marilyn is survived by her children Mark (Jannette), Karen (Wade), Cheryl (Pete), Colleen (Rod), Laura (Blake); 22 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren; her two siblings Eldon (Pat) Sandusky and Carol (Gordon) Rice. Friends may meet the Family at Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Friday, January 12 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm. A Private Family Service will be held at Legacy Funeral Home on Saturday, January 13 at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in the Cardston Cemetery.

ZAYCHUK BARBARA MARCELLA ZAYCHUK (née Thomas), formerly of Kipp, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, at Good Samaritans West Highlands, on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at the age of 90 years.
Barbara is survived by her children: Nancy (Robert) Pike and Ken (Starr) Zaychuk; grandchildren: Kelly and Joey with a special place in her heart for Chad and Chris Harding. Barbara is also survived by her brother: Matt (Lil); sisters-in-law: Mary M, Marilynn and Thelma; and brother-in-law Bill (Ila) as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Nick (2017); her parents Frank and Evelyn Thomas; sisters: Marlene, Delores and Denelda; brothers: Andy and Roy; sisters-in-law: Nina and Mary Z; and brothers-in-law: George, Mike, Jack, Steve.
A Funeral Service to celebrate and honour Barbara will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. The Funeral Service will be live-streamed and may be viewed through Barbara’s obituary on the Cornerstone website.
