ADAMS, Hugh HUGH ROBERT ADAMS November 4, 1928 – January 27, 2024 Hugh passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 95.
Left to mourn his loss is his daughter Tracy (Eric), stepdaughter Debra; stepson Dale (Joan); daughter in law Edna; brothers, Gordon and Ralph (Rosalinda); sister Heather; 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Hugh was predeceased by his parents Molly and Frank; brothers Delbert and Ronald ; sister Eileen; stepson Del and granddaughter Christine.
Special thanks to Hugh’s niece Selena Mauro (Joe) for all their care, love and support over the past few years.
Hugh was a man of few words whose expressions would make you smile. He loved camping, fishing and playing cards. Hugh always had the best poker face while playing 31 or rummy. He loved to FaceTime with his grandchildren and great grandchildren in Ohio. We will miss him dearly.
The family will celebrate Hugh’s life with a private gathering at a later date.

BURWELL, Frederick and Theresa BURWELL, FRED & THERESA Frederick Arthur Burwell May 28, 1931 – December 24, 2023 & Theresa Marion Burwell (Brunelle) September 9, 1940 – January 20, 2024, of Edmonton, Alberta Fred passed peacefully at the age of 92, December 24, 2023 followed by his wife Theresa at the age of 83, January 20, 2024.
They are survived by their daughter Carolyn (Lance), son Brian (Jazmine), grandsons Zachary (Katy) and Jaydon as well as their first Great Grandson, Judah.
Fred was predeceased by his father Frederick, mother Evelyn, his sisters June, Eileen and Betty as well as his first-born son, Paul (Kathryn).
Theresa was predeceased by Fred, her parents Wallace and Marion, two brothers Michael and Peter as well as her first born son Paul (Kathryn).
A funeral will be held for Theresa, Saturday, February 17th, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Parish, Edmonton, AB. A celebration of both their lives will be held in the spring.

RUDHART, Verne VERNE RUDHART 1968 – 2024 It is with heavy hearts that the family of VERNE GREGORY RUDHART, of Coutts, AB, announce the passing of our son and brother, on Saturday, January 27, 2024.

MORRISON, Joyce JOYCE MORRISON 1937 – 2024 Mrs. Joyce Morrison of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Glenn Morrison, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Ste. Therese’s Villa in Lethbridge.
Born in Vancouver in August 1937, Joyce attended Lord Byng High School and then entered the University of British Columbia where she met Glenn Morrison of Medicine Hat and began a lifelong, loving partnership. Glenn and Joyce married in Vancouver in August 1958 and moved to Lethbridge in 1960, where they raised four children and became active members of the community. Joyce loved creating things with her hands and for many years was an accomplished knitter and weaver. She and Glenn built a cabin in Beaver Mines in the mid-1970s and spent some of their happiest times there and in the surrounding area, hiking, cross-country skiing and simply puttering about. Joyce had several circles of dear friends in Lethbridge, Beaver Mines and throughout Southern Alberta. She was a devoted volunteer with a number of organizations, and especially for many decades within the church community at St Augustine’s in Lethbridge.
She was predeceased in 2022 by her husband Glenn and is survived by her children Robert (Carole) Morrison of Kingston, Ontario, David Morrison of Ottawa, Ontario, Janet (Norm) Welch of Chestermere, Alberta, and Helen (Dave) Maze of Lethbridge, Alberta; grandchildren Zachary Morrison, Alastair Morrison, Emily (Brandon) Morrison, Katie (Brandon) Fooks, Christopher (Haley) Welch, Juliet Morrison and Nico Morrison.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Therese Villa in Lethbridge for the loving care extended to Joyce since 2018.

BATEMAN, John Thomas “Tom” JOHN THOMAS “TOM” BATEMAN 1938 – 2024 John Thomas “Tom” Bateman of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Bonnie, of Lethbridge, Alberta, passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary on January 29, 2024, at the age of 85 and now rests in the arms of his Saviour, Jesus Christ.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 pm, on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at LETHBRIDGE EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH, 4717 24 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Reverend Steve Bateman & Pastor Dave Acree, officiating.

AINSCOUGH, Connie AINSCOUGH CONNIE HELEN AINSCOUGH, beloved wife of Larry Ainscough and mother to Gordon (Stacey) Ainscough and Amber Ainscough. She leaves behind her grandchildren Claire and Elliott Ainscough and Easton and Brinley Gertzinger. She is also survived by her father Keith Skippen, and sisters Linda Selk, and Donna Brower.
Connie was predeceased by her grandmother Mary Dittman, mother Helen Skippen, Uncle Bill Dittman.
She was raised on the family farm in the Masinasin area, attended elementary school at Masinasin School and later graduated from Erle Rivers Highschool.
She enjoyed the outdoors, and loved spending time camping and fishing with family and friends, and especially cherished times spent with her grandchildren.
She worked at Erle Rivers High School as an aide, and office administrator for 30 years, until her retirement in 2016.
As per Connie’s wishes, there will be a private family service at a later date.

EAGLE TAIL FEATHERS, Rhonda EAGLE TAIL FEATHERS – DAY CHIEF RHONDA HILDA EAGLE TAIL FEATHERS – DAY CHIEF, Pookskaakii (Small Face Woman), passed away on January 14, 2024 in Vancouver, British Columbia at the age of 63 years. The Wake Service will be held at Old Agency Hall, Blood Reserve on Monday, February 5 from 7:00 – 11:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Old Agency Hall on Tuesday, February 6 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in the One Spot Cemetery, Old Agency, Blood Reserve.
