When she married Henry on February 12, 1958, she was well prepared to carry on being a great homemaker, and her family enjoyed all of the garden fresh, frozen, canned and pickled fruits and vegetables, along with chickens and cows that were raised. The pantry was always full. Her family especially looked forward to all of her baking, the secret ingredient was that it was made with love. Lydia enjoyed many different crafts, sewing, puzzles and the simple pleasures of life.
