ROSS, Michael ROSS Michael Louis Ross, beloved husband of almost 50 years to Holly Ross passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, February 16, 2024, at the age of 76.
Mike was a true cowboy who lived for his horses, the outdoors and his family. He spent many summers in the mountains riding horses and enjoying nature. He always had just the thing you needed for a project somewhere out back with all of his treasures and he could build everything out of anything. He was an extremely hard worker and would lend a hand or instructions on how to do pretty much anything.
Mike and Holly spent the last 17 years out on the farm, a dream of his for many years. He could always be found out with the horses and the other animals on the ‘funny farm’, working on another new project or gardening. Unfortunately, Mike’s life changed after some health issues shortly after he retired and we know how he longed to get back out on a horse, riding into the mountains.
We remember him recently as someone with a twinkle in his eye, especially when cheating at cards, eating Holly’s delicious desserts and being an excellent judge for his granddaughters baking competitions. He always found a way to make sure everyone was a winner. He will be deeply missed, and we cherish the time we spent with our old cowboy and the many stories he told of his life. Happy trails to you, Mike.
Left to mourn Mike are his wife, Holly Ross; his children, Jennifer Burnett and Blair (Danielle) Ross; and his grandchildren, Harrison and Heidi Burnett and Molly and Maddyn Ross, along with many other cherished family and friends.
A Celebration of Mike’s Life will be held at a later date.
