SILLITO, Phillip PHILLIP GRANT SILLITO 1967 – 2024 Phillip Grant Sillito passed away at his home in Raymond on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the age of 57 years.
He is survived by his sisters Patricia Streibel of White Rock, BC, Dorothy Hart of Taber, Alberta, Karen Ward of Mountain Home, Idaho, and brother Marvin Sillito of Calgary, Alberta.
Phil was pre-deceased by his parents Glen Sillito and Bernice Pitcher Sillito; brothers Don Sillito, Bryce Sillito, and Randy Sillito; and sister Terry Sillito.
Phillip was a valued SASH (Southern Alberta Society for the Handicapped) client and enjoyed his work experience at the Bottle Depot and his lawn mowing business. He will be missed by family, friends, and the place he held in the Raymond community.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Monday, April 8, 2024, at the KNIGHT STREET CHAPEL, 260 East 200 North, Raymond, Alberta, with. Bishop Richard Haynes, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Magrath Alberta Cemetery.

NIESSEN, Martha MARTHA NIESSEN 1926 – 2024 Mrs. Martha Niessen of Coaldale, beloved wife of the late Mr. William Niessen passed away peacefully at Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, March 22, 2024, at the age of 97 years.
Martha was born in Blumenhof, Saskatchewan, on September 1, 1926, the youngest child of Henry and Katherine Friesen. She married William (Bill) Niessen on October 22, 1944. Martha was a cook in a number of different establishments and retired from the Sunny South Lodge in 1990. She was an avid gardener and loved to spend time with her grandkids. She enjoyed her time in Riondel, B.C with her husband, children and grandchildren.
Martha is survived by her daughters Shirley deJager (Jerry) of Coaldale, Dorothy Vandemunt (Neil) of Coaldale; son James Niessen of Riondel B. C. & Yuma Arizona; grandchildren Michelle Walther (Chris), Kathy Lorge (John Paul), Mike deJager (Cindy), Carolyn Vandemunt (Jeff), Brad Kreft (Gerita), and Sylvia Klok (Brian); 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Besides her beloved husband William, Martha was predeceased by her parents Henry and Katherine Friesen; 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 5, 2024, at COALDALE MENNONITE BRETHREN CHURCH, 2114 18 Street Coaldale.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 5, 2024, at COALDALE MENNONITE BRETHREN CHURCH, with Pastor Gary Burke, officiating. Burial to follow in the Coaldale Mennonite Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Sunny South Lodge in Coaldale for the wonderful care they provided in moms last years.

HERBST, Janet HERBST We are sad to announce the peaceful passing of JANET IRENE HERBST, on Monday, April 1, 2024 at the age of 83 years, after a brief but courageous and gracious battle with cancer.
A Celebration of Janet’s Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Monday, April 8, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. with Reid Hollander officiating. The Celebration of Life will be live-streamed and may be viewed through Janet’s obituary on the Cornerstone website.
Janet will be laid to rest with her husband Edward in a private Family Graveside Service.

BOSCHMAN, Lisa “Betty” BOSCHMAN LISA “BETTY” BOSCHMAN, of Coaldale, beloved wife of the late Reverend Peter Boschman, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital, Lethbridge, on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, at the age of 94 years.

MAASAKKERS, Gayle MAASAKKERS GAYLE MARIE MAASAKKERS, beloved companion and fiancée of Kirk Godlonton and loving mother to Tracy (Greg) Holt and Terry (Shannon) Anderson, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at the age of 70 years.
