SLEIGHTHOLM, Jennet “Jeannie” JENNET “JEANNIE” SLEIGHTHOLM April 11, 1952 – April 10, 2024 The family of Jennet “Jeannie” Anna Sleightholm said goodbye to our precious mom on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the age of 71 years.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 pm, on Friday, April 19, 2024, at ST. BASIL’S ROMAN CATHOLIC PARISH, 604, 13 STREET NORTH, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Father Kevin Tumback, celebrant.

HOFER, John JOHN R. HOFER 1930 – 2024 John R. Hofer, beloved husband of the late Rebecca (Wipf) Hofer, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the age of 93 years.
John was born in Glenwood, AB, on November 24, 1930, to John & Mary Hofer. He grew up at Felger Farms south of Lethbridge. He married Rebecca Wipf on July 11, 1954, and they raised their family near Stirling, AB. John was a part of the Stirling Mennonite Church, and his greatest desire was to stay faithful to the Lord.
John was an avid woodworker and made many treasured pieces for family and friends.
He also spent many hours in fieldwork. He remained interested in life around him until the very end. His faith in God carried him throughout life and finally home to glory.
John is survived by his daughter Linda (Ron) Ulrich, his son Glen (Charlene) Hofer, his son Jonathan Hofer, his son-in-law Allen (Mina) Hostetler; 12 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Jacob (Junia) Hofer, sister-in-law Mary Hofer, brother-in-law Dave Stahl, brother-in-law Tim Kubassek, and sister-in-law Mary Wipf.
John is predeceased by his wife, Rebecca (Wipf) Hofer, his daughter Esther (Hofer) Hostetler, his sisters Marie Stahl and Sarah Kubassek, his brother Darius Hofer, infant twin brothers, and two grandchildren.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to the Raymond Hospital staff, the staff at Buffalo Grace Manor in Lethbridge, and daughter Linda for their wonderful care of Dad/Grandpa. God bless all of you.

LARKO, John LARKO Dec 30, 1931 – April 11, 2024 It is with great sadness, I am announcing the peaceful passing of my Dad, JOHN RALPH LARKO, at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the age of 93 years.
Ralph will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Sheri Mathieu (Dave); and grandchildren: Mason Mathieu (Melissa), Michaela Sieber-Borath (Carl Tillemen), Matteo Sieber-Borath (Courtney Hay), and Gage Mathieu (Sarah Williams); his son-in-law, Todd Bene and grandchildren: Trista Sincennes (Shaun), Nicole Mrak (Cody), Harlee Bene (Evan Wiebe), as well as six great-grandchildren.
Ralph was predeceased by the love of his life, Jean Larko, and his beautiful daughter Marnee Bene.
Ralph was born in Lethbridge on December 30, 1931, at the St. Micheal’s General Hospital. He was a carpenter by trade, was an amazing artist and loved to carve many different things out of wood and knots he found in the forest. He truly loved his wife Jean and the time they spent at the cabin that they shared for over 45 years in the Elk Valley.
