KROSHINSKY, Dorothy KROSHINSKY Dorothy Caroline Kroshinsky (nee. Kittleson), 99, of Lethbridge Alberta died peacefully on November 5, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Society Park Meadows Village, just three weeks shy of her 100th birthday.
Caroline was born on November 26th, 1924, to Carl and Janet Kittleson in Lethbridge, Alberta.
Caroline, who was affectionately known as “GG”, left her family farm in Barons at the age of twenty to complete an accredited nursing program in Vegreville where she graduated and became a licensed Registered Nurse with the Province of Alberta. During this time Caroline met, and married Kenneth Dougan and they had four children together. Caroline and Kenneth eventually moved their family to Edmonton where she pursued her passion of nursing at the Allen Gray Auxiliary Hospital. Upon retirement, Caroline married her second husband, Willard Kroshinsky, who she had known since grade school, and they moved back to their roots of Barons.
Caroline is survived by her daughter Carol and son’s Dale and Alan, grandchildren David, Kimberly (Eric), Scott (Lyndsey), Terra and Tannis (Rob) and great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Kieran, Kyen, Geo, Cohen, Ben, Kahlia, Rayos, Sophie and Soleia. Caroline was predeceased by her husband Willard and daughter’s Linda and Garnette.
GG loved her family and adored her great grandchildren and those who knew GG loved her. GG had a zest for life, travelled all over the world and was always up for a game or two of cards or trip to the casino. Caroline had a laugh, a twinkle in her eye, and a way with words, which may leave you puzzled or in a fit of giggles because “frost your mothers’ pickles” only made sense to her when she drew the wrong card. GG’s love of birds was only surpassed by her love of the Edmonton Oilers and the Toronto Blue Jays, she was as an avid fan who rarely missed a game.
At the request of Caroline, there will be no service as she deemed her 90th birthday party as her celebration of life, because she did not want to miss her party.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to donate to your favourite charity or spend time with your family.

PICKLES, Carolyn PICKLES, Carolyn November 11, 1944 – November 5, 2024 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carolyn Rose Pickles (nee Thrower). She was the beloved wife of Barry; a devoted mother to Paul, Scott, Penny, and Sandi; a cherished grandmother to Liam, Cailean, and Rhydian; and a welcoming mother-in-law to “the two Waynes.”
Born in Toronto, ON, Carolyn pursued a lifelong dream of helping others by earning her nursing degree. A job opportunity in Calgary brought her west, where a chance encounter introduced her to a young British lad named Barry Pickles. Their connection was immediate, and they quickly became each other’s best friend and confidant. They were married in 1970 and built a life together in Lethbridge, where Carolyn continued her nursing career. As their family grew, her focus shifted to being a stay-at-home mom and the heart of the household. If we may say so, we brought her boundless joy – and, admittedly, more than a few gray hairs. She could scare us into behaving with just one look.
Carolyn’s kindness, humour, and compassion shone through in her relationships and community involvement. She was the self-appointed neighbourhood watch Captain of 18th Street N, with her chair a permanent fixture in the window. She had a passion for knitting, crocheting, and embroidery. Above all, Carolyn was a cherished friend to many, and her legacy of love, service, and resilience will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held at a later date.

ECHEVERRIA, Edna ECHEVERRIA 1941 – 2024 Edna May Echeverria. Beloved wife of the Late Miguel Echeverria passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour at Good Samaritans Park Meadows on Wednesday, Oct 23, 2024 at the age of 83 years.
Edna is survived by her four daughters, Elizabeth Wishart, Evelyn Ayivon Eloise (Brett) Masson, and Michelle Ellert; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Edna touched the lives of many as she worked as a hair stylist most of her life. She always had an entrepreneurial spirit as she owned her own hair salon, Christian book store and gift shop. Besides all of that, she sold Avon, Mary Kay and volunteered at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital, helping those who needed wigs for the “look good, feel better” program. She also ran the bookstore at her church. We don’t know how she did it all but still had time for family and friends.
Edna loved to bake and was always doing lots of crafts from sewing and knitting to flower arranging, painting, chocolate making and the list goes on. She wanted to try everything and put passion and perfection in everything she set her hands to. Edna had a compassion and great love for animals. We always had a stray cat or two as well as dogs, parrot, fish and singing canaries. The house was never quiet and was full of life, just like her.
We love you Mom, Grandma: You will be forever in our hearts and pray we feel your presence every day and in everything we do.
No formal service was held and Edna was laid to rest along with her husband, Mike on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Royal View Cemetery in Lethbridge Alberta.
