Two members of Canadaâ€™s national volleyball teams will be welcomed at the Tatsikiisaapoâ€™p Middle School and Kainai High School for a pair of engagements with students on the Blood Reserve today.
Dallas Soonias, with the menâ€™s national team, and Jaimie Thibeault of the womenâ€™s program, will speak with students and demonstrate their skills at the middle school from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.., before they visit the Kainai High School for another session from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Soonias and Thibeault are both First Nations athletes. Soonias was raised in Red Deer and attends University of Alberta, while Thibeault grew up in Grande Prairie and has played 26 international matches.
