Speedskaters attend Training to Train qualifier

Ten members of the Lethbridge Speed Skating Association headed to Red Deer last weekend for the Jeremy Wotherspoon Open Saturday and Sunday.
Lethbridge’s Jonnathan McIntosh won silver and Braeden Kremenik a bronze in the T2T 13 male age class, while Zach Adelman took home a silver medal in the T2T 12 male division.
The two-day event is a qualifier for Alberta Training To Train skaters to attend the Canadian Youth Long Track Championships in Red Deer, Feb. 8-9.
The full Alberta team will be announced next week.
Denise Wesseling placed eighth in the T2T Female category, while Mikka Eaves was sixth in the T2T 13 Female Division.
In the T2T 14 male division, Riley Vanderburgh was seventh and Mitchell Wesseling was 10th.
Zosia Adelman was sixth in Divison 1 and Zoe Wesseling took 10th.
