Harris scores 30 as Zeniths upend Churchill Bulldogs

Magrath Zeniths downed the Winston Churchill Bulldogs 103-72 in Southern Alberta 4A Boys Basketball League action on Tuesday.
Zeniths (6-4) were led by Chase Harris with 30 points while Colton Finck added 19. Garrett Stock and Kobe Thompso chipped in with 14 and 12 points respectively while Cody Tollestrup and Mac Strong had 10 apiece.
Tyreese Russell replied with 16 points for the Bulldogs (1-8) while Polos Los Banes and Eric Delauw added 12 apiece and Kevin Davies scored 10.
In junior varsity play, Churchill topped Magrath 88-79 as Josh McBeath hit for 28 points and Phillippe Martin added 22. Manga Bukuru followed with 13 points and Robby Wist had 10.
Ty Michelson led Magrath with 24 points and Levi Balderson added 11.
In other games, five players reached double digits as Cardston Cougars (7-3) rolled to a 100-34 victory over Catholic Central (0-10).
Mitch Nelson scored 17 points for the winners, Braxen Scott scored 16, Graedon Woodward and Isaac Atwood both scored 15 and Corom Gregson tossed in 13.
Cole Friesen scored 10 points to lead Catholic Central.
In the JV game, Cardston was a 93-44 winner. Hyrum Scott and Mitch Fracis led the charge with 26 and 24 points respectively while Cole Quinton added 10.
Derek Trapp, with 14, and Zach Gray with 11 were the leading scorers for Catholic Central.
In a JV boys game earlier this month, Raymond scored an 89-49 victory over Catholic Central.
Ryker Dewsbery led the Comets with 17 points, Izaak Long collected 15 and both Mason Leavitt and Jacob McDonnell netted 10.
Dave Dahoe led CCH with 14 points while Nikolai Westwood had 10.
