Midget Canes hope to extend season

The Lethbridge midget AAA Hurricanes will look to keep their season going tonight.

The Canes host the Calgary Flames in Game 4 of the teams’ second-round Alberta Midget Hockey League series tonight at 6:45 p.m. at the Logan Boulet Arena.

Lethbridge is down to their last playoff life after losing Game 3 of the best-of-five series 5-2 Monday night in Calgary.

The Flames won Game 1 4-1, while the Canes blanked Calgary 3-0 in Game 2 Friday night at the Logan Boulet Arena.

On Monday, Derrien Tonin scored in the first period for the Hurricanes and Rylen Roersma added another in the third.

Ty Young made 18 saves for Lethbridge.

If necessary, Game 5 will be Friday in Calgary at 7:30 p.m.
