4A semifinals set for tonight

South Zone action in the Southern Alberta High School Basketball League continues today with semifinal games at the 1st Choice Savings Centre at the University of Lethbridge.
In girls’ play, second-seeded Lethbridge Collegiate Institute will take on third-seed Magrath in the semifinals at 3 p.m. Cardston will play top-seeded Raymond Comets in the other semi at 5 p.m.
In a consolation semifinal, Chinook plays Winston Churchill at 9 a.m.
On the boys’ side, top-seeded Raymond will play fourth-seed Magrath at 7 p.m., while Cardston takes on Medicine Hat High in a battle of the second and third-seeded teams at 9 p.m. Medicine Hat advanced with a 110-87 victory over Chinook in a late game Tuesday night.
In consolation draw play today, Chinook plays Catholic Central at 11 a.m., and LCI faces Churchill at 1 p.m.
The girls gold medal game is at 6 p.m. Saturday. The boys game is at 8 p.m.
The third-place games are 2 p.m. Saturday for the girls and 4 p.m. for the boys.
