By Lethbridge Herald on August 18, 2021.

A pair of southern Alberta golfers teed it up on a Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour stop last week.

Lethbridge’s Braeden Van Dusen and Claresholm’s Roan Crowe were in the field as the MJT stopped in Sundre Thursday and Friday for the MJT Edge School Showcase at Coyote Creek Golf Club, one of the few remaining events available for players to earn points on the MJT Order of Merit to qualify for the MJT National Championship.

Playing in the Junior Boys division, Van Dusen, 17, shot 75 on the opening day Thursday and followed that up with a 77 Friday for a two-day total of 152, good for a tie for seventh place.

Crowe, playing in the Juvenile Boys division, shot 85 and 82 Thursday and Friday, respectively, as the 15-year-old carded a 167 to take 11th.
