High school football provincial dates set

The Alberta Schools Athletic Association football playoffs are set and southern Alberta teams are in the mix.

In Tier I, the Brian Fryer Division playoff featuring the top-four teams is set for Nov. 20.

The top-ranked Sherwood Park Salisbury Sabres will host the fourth-seeded Calgary St. Francis Browns, while the second-ranked Calgary Notre Dame Pride will be at home against the Edmonton Harry Ainlay Titans.

Game times are to be determined.

The Regional-based Tier I playoffs are set for Saturday.

In the south, the Raymond Comets (ranked fifth) head to Okotoks to face the Foothills Falcons at 1 p.m., while the sixth-ranked LCI Rams are in Calgary to take on the seventh-ranked Ernest Manning Griffins at 3 p.m.

In Tier III, the Winston Churchill Griffins head to Cochrane to face the second-ranked Cobras on Friday at 4 p.m.

In the Tier IV playoffs, the fifth-seeded Taber W.R. Myers Rebels get a home game as they host the sixth-seeded Canmore Wolverines at 1 p.m. at Ken McDonald Sports Complex.

The ninth-ranked Claresholm Willow Creek Cobras are in Drumheller to face the second-seeded Titans at 2:30 p.m.
