The Canadian Women’s 3X3 basketball team – featuring current University of Lethbridge Pronghorns assistant coach Paige Crozon and former Pronghorn Kacie Bosch – won the bronze medal at the inaugural FIBA 3×3 AmeriCup 2021 last weekend Miami.

Wrapping up a three-game Sunday, Canada defeated Puerto Rico 18-12 to clinch the bronze medal.

The Canadians started Sunday with a 20-6 win over Mexico, but were defeated 20-13 by Brazil in the semifinals.

Crozon had nine points in the bronze medal game.

In the semifinal loss to Brazil, Bosch had four points and seven rebounds.

Canada started the weekend with a pair of wins Friday, downing Puerto Rico 19-7 and Uruguay 22-3.

Crozon has appeared in three FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series stops in 2021, including leading Canada to a second place finish at the FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series Bucharest Final 2021.

Ten years ago she made her 3×3 debut at the 2011 FIBA 3×3 U18 World Championships.

Bosch made her debut with Canada last weekend.
