LCI rocks house at city curling championship

LCI rocked the house at the high school curling City Championship Monday at the Lethbridge Curling Club.
The LCI girls’ team of Kayleigh Shannon (skip), Addison Lehbauer, Brynn Baker, Jenna Powell and Jade White went undefeated and captured this year’s City Championship with a 9-0 victory over Catholic Central.
The Chinook girls came in second place and they will also be advancing to South Zones Friday at the Lethbridge Curling Club.
LCI won the boys division as well, beating Chinook 7-0 to claim the City title.
The Winston Churchill boys came in second place and they will also be advancing to Zones.
LCI also claimed the mixed division City Championship.
Catholic Central placed second and Winston Churchill came in third with both those teams also advancing to the South Zones championship Friday.
LCI will also be the hosts of the Alberta Schools Athletic Association curling provincials March 3-5.
