Regina’s Tanner Howe opened the third period with the game winner just 16 seconds in, with Zane Rowan adding an insurance goal mid-way through the third.

Shots on goal were 34-30 in favour of the Pats, with Harrison Meneghin in goal for the Canes.

The Hurricanes (30-19-3-3) are in Moose Jaw tonight before returning home to host the Kamloops Blazers on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Enmax Centre.
