Elks have busy weekend in Montana

It was a busy week for the Lethbridge Elks AA American Legion baseball team down in Montana.

The club ended the trip on Thursday with an 8-4 loss to the Kalispell Lakers.

Karsen Haney had two hits and Kade Pallett took the loss for the Elks.

The Elks split a doubleheader with the Lakers on Wednesday.

Lethbridge took the first game 2-0.

Garret Smith pitched 6 1/3 innings while striking out five batters and giving up four hits.

Dave Stewart got the save and Tye Carriere had two hits in the contest.

The Lakers took the second game 10-4.

 Elks pitcher Matthew Wright took the loss and Haney had two hits and a double.

The Elks began the week back on Tuesday where they lost 13-3 to the Great Falls Chargers.

The team is back in action tonight when they host the Bozeman Bucks at Spitz Stadium with first pitch at 7 p.m.

Both teams will battle in a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at 11 a.m. at Spitz Stadium.
