The Lethbridge College Kodiaks remain perfect on the season with an 8-0 record after picking up a couple of road wins over the weekend.
The Kodiaks blanked the Olds College Broncos 6-0 on Saturday before a much tighter 3-1 victory at Red Deer Polytechnic on Sunday.
Kyra Piekema paced the Kodiaks’ attack with two goals and two assists, while Jordy Wright, Nikki Stahl, Montanna Rousselle and Raeleen Vanden Dungen each supplied a goal each in Saturday’s win.
Rousselle, Vanden Dungen and Taylor Hrycun scored in the win over Red Deer.
Women’s soccer will be next in action on Saturday when they host the Ambrose Lions at noon at Servus Sports Centre.
As for the men’s team, they tied Olds 5-5 and lost to Red Deer 1-0 on Sunday.
Jaxon Uhl, Joel McLeod, Ben Knight, Brandon Francis and a lucky break when Olds scored on their own goal was all the offence for the Kodiaks on Saturday.
The men’s team will host the Ambrose Lions at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Pronghorns
The University of Lethbridge Pronghorns women’s soccer team lost to the University of Calgary Dinos 4-1 on Saturday, ending their road trip with an 0-5 record.
Lucy Mundy scored the Horns lone goal in the 40th minute.
The women Horns will wrap up the regular season at home against the University of Alberta Pandas at noon on Saturday and the MacEwan University Griffins on Sunday at noon.
The men’s team had bye last weekend and will conclude their five-game road trip on Saturday at the University of Saskatchewan Huskies at 7 p.m.
They’re 1-2-1 on the trip so far.
