The Prairie Baseball Academy Dawgs split their road doubleheader on Monday against the University of Calgary Dinos in Canadian College Baseball Conference action .
The Dinos took the first game 11-10, where they scored 11 runs on 15 hits and the Dawgs scored 10 runs on 11 hits.
Tetsu Niishida led the way for the Dawgs by going 2-for-3 at the plate and driving in three RBIs.
Morgan Halliday and Juan Puerta each had two runs to lead PBA in that statistical category.
Joesph Bews took the loss on the mound for the Dawgs.
PBA responded in the second game with a 14-4 win.
The Dawgs scored those runs on 16 hits.
PBA’s Will Turner went 4-for-5 at the plate, while scoring three runs and hitting three runs in.
Aidan McKenzie went 4-for-4 at the plate for PBA, while scoring two runs and batting in three RBIs.
Alex Fijal pitched 3 1/3 innings while giving up four runs on five hits and striking out a batter in getting the win.
Both teams battle today in a doubleheader at Lethbridge’s Lloyd Nolan Yard beginning at 3 p.m.
