Dear editor,
In regards to MAiD.This is not about what is morally right or wrong. I lost someone very dear to me through MAiD. I think before we go putting restrictions on MAiD we need to fix the health care system. This person that was so dear to me and still young at heart and in pain fell through the cracks of our lovely health care system. This person was not taken seriously, the wait times were not in their favour. Making restrictions here may only drive them to another province or find another way to end their life. However I do think the ones doing MAiD need to have the reins pulled in on them as to how they proceed with MAiD. Seeing first hand as to how they assess someone I do not necessarily agree with.Possibly not giving them alternate choices. Either way the person I loved is gone ,the power was handed over to the ones that carry out the procedure and to the government of whom introduced this bill in the first place.
