Dear city of Lethbridge. Regarding your(ours) malfunctioning snow plow trucks. The front blade will not come down and the sand spreader on the back will not open or rotate.
Please have your H.D.mechanics address this issue as us tax-paying citizens on the west side of lethbridge are tired of taking our lives in our hands every time it snows.
Thank you.

haha! well said, however sad it is. it is no better when you come down from your hill, either.
another example of: “where is our money going?”
so much money to plough into the usual privileged, well placed pockets and shiny, new things, but too little to look after existing infrastructure and basic safety. it is rather ironic that most of streets are smoother and easier on our vehicles when slathered in layers of packed snow, at least until they begin to rut. while most homeowners do a good job dutifully clearing city sidewalks, the city neglects its roads; at some point, the pedestrian has to take a brave step from a well groomed sidewalk onto an icy road, no?
mind you, it is a cool adrenaline rush to slide through an intersection, or have one’s feet dance out from under oneself, so long as that does not end poorly.
Kurt, the City has hired laid off Zamboni drivers to run the plows…getting those intersection to a high sheen is just in their blood….sand or salt just isn’t a “go” with them.
