Garden View Lodge handled tenant’s death with compassion

After reading your article concerning Kaylene Neufeld having to pay an extra month’s rent for her mother. 

As executor for my aunt’s will I felt that I should mention my own experience with Green Acres Foundation – Garden View Lodge. 

She passed just five days before the end of the month, a couple of years back. Garden View Lodge gave me notice by phone and in person that as long as we were able to remove all her belongings before the end of the month they would not charge her estate an additional month’s rent.

They were extremely helpful offering help and the use of their equipment to facilitate the move. 

It just goes to show that some retirement communities are more concerned about their clients than getting that last dollar. Thank you again to Garden View Lodge.
