MLA for Lethbridge East committed to serving the city

On May 29th, the people of Lethbridge and all Albertans were presented with a choice between two different visions for our province.
After a long month of campaigning, Albertans re-elected the UCP to another majority government, while here in Lethbridge the two seats remain split between the UCP and my colleague representing the NDP in opposition, Shannon Phillips.
Your trust in me as a leader in our community is a responsibility I do not take lightly.
I committed to listening to your concerns, fighting for your values in the legislature, and working to make Lethbridge the best city in our province.
Improving our community is not a one-person job, it takes all of us working together to find solutions.
Just over a month ago, on June 9th, I was once again sworn into Premier Danielle Smith’s cabinet- this time as Minister of Affordability and Utilities. I am incredibly honoured to receive this assignment and to continue the work underway to fight inflation and keep Alberta affordable.
Over the course of the campaign, I heard loud and clear that affordability, including the affordability of powering and heating your homes, continues to be a top of mind issue for many in our city and province. I know we have a large task ahead of us, as we work to provide both short term relief from inflationary pressures and as we endeavour to ensure Albertans can access affordable power and heat for generations to come.
We live in the best province in Canada and while we have pressing issues to address, bringing a positive attitude and a strong work ethic we can continue to grow and get better. I hope we can tackle these items together and find solutions that keep moving Alberta forward.
I want to thank the people of Lethbridge-East for once again bestowing me with the honour of representing you in the legislature. As our city’s voice in government and at the cabinet table, I want everyone in Lethbridge to know that I am carrying your concerns forward and will work hard to move Lethbridge forward over the next four years.

And what would be said about the fringe group, Take Back Alberta? How much more influence would be tolerated? And what of the unpopular issues that many of us expected would be revisited after the election, i.e. the Rstar issue, the CPP issue, the provincial police force issue, the open pit mining in our Rockies issue with its threat to our waters, environment, etc., the ongoing drought with its worrisome threat to irrigation farming in southern Alberta, the ever increasing overdose, opioid deaths, the ongoing unfair taxation with the big corporations not paying their fair share, the increasing gap between the rich and the poor here….
Well Mr Neudorf, lets now see how you solve the drug issue in Lethbridge. Those of us who voted and financially supported you were voting against the way the NDP would have solved this issue!
So “security” is your high priority and today an article suggests downtown Businesses and employees don’t seem to have that security.
Please remember, recovery based treatment assumes addicts will want to rehab, thats the party line of all do gooders. If given a chance everyone will rehab and we will all live happily ever after.
It will be such a dissapointment to Marshall Smith and you that only 5% will do so, so, disregard Marshall Smiths La La Land scenario and tell us how you intend on saving our downtown and society from the remaining 95% of the addicts, in your next month diatribe.
