Gratitude for Lethbridge and our community

By Lethbridge Herald on October 12, 2024.

AT THE LEGISLATURE
Nathan Neudorf – UCP MLA for Lethbridge East

As Thanksgiving weekend approaches, I find myself reflecting on the many blessings we enjoy as residents of Lethbridge, Alberta, and the incredible privilege I have to serve as your MLA. This time of year offers an opportunity to pause and express gratitude—for the people around us, the places we call home, and the sense of community that makes Alberta such a special province.

I am especially grateful to live and work in Alberta, where we enjoy some of the most prosperous conditions in all of Canada. Our province is not only rich in natural resources but in the spirit of innovation, hard work, and a commitment to community.

Alberta’s people have always risen to the occasion, and we are fortunate to share in the strength that comes from being part of such a dynamic and forward-thinking province.

Here in Lethbridge, I am thankful for the vibrant community we have built together—a place where people rally around one another in times of need and celebrate each other’s successes.

It’s a community where kindness and generosity are not just ideals, but everyday realities.

Whether through local volunteer efforts or simply looking out for our neighbors, Lethbridge consistently embodies the values that make this province great.

As your MLA, it is an honour to represent you in the Alberta Legislature. The work I do in government is deeply informed by the trust and support I receive from this community. Your confidence allows me to advocate for Lethbridge’s needs and champion the causes that matter most to you. I am reminded every day of how lucky I am to work on your behalf and help ensure that our city continues to thrive.

Of course, none of this would be possible without the incredible support of my family and friends.

Their unwavering encouragement is something I cherish deeply, and it strengthens my commitment to serve. I am also grateful to the many organizations, volunteers, and community members whose efforts keep Lethbridge moving forward, particularly during challenging times.

I encourage each of us to take this season as a reminder to care for one another. With colder months ahead, and many still facing financial pressures, now is the time to give where we can. Whether that’s through donations to local food banks or simply extending a helping hand to a neighbor, every small act of generosity makes a difference.

Thanksgiving is not just a time for reflection, but also for action.

By supporting one another, we can ensure that our community remains strong and resilient, no matter the challenges ahead. I am deeply thankful to be a part of this incredible community, and I look forward to continuing to serve you in the months and years to come.

From my family to yours, I wish you a warm and joyful Thanksgiving. Thank you for allowing me to represent and serve you.
