Government money supporting youth crime

By Letter to the Editor on February 19, 2021.

Editor:
Taxpayers may be interested in knowing about government money being spent to support crime. Government money supports youth age 18-24 yrs. of age.
Many of these youth are into drugs and crime and there are no rules that they have to abide by, eg. go to school or be employed.
This has to change. There is not enough regulations regarding this. The government just keeps paying — government pays their rent, food and extras.
We as citizens suffer by having our property stolen and all the drug activity and crime associated with their nightime activity. This is a really big issue and the newspaper is the place to alert residents.
I have first hand info regarding this. I have been dealing with this for a year, and am shocked at the response from Children’s Services in Taber, McMann Youth in lethbridge, and Lethbridge Police Crime Unit.
All are in agreement, that there should be more regulations
Please contact me if your interested in hearing more. Thank you.
