By Letter to the Editor on April 1, 2021.
Editor: Well, no doubt my letter last week has touched a nerve with some readers. Unfortunately there seemed to be no response from the industry I was pointing out for non-compliance to
COVID restrictions unless for some reason The Herald is censoring the responses from readers. I have been supported by everyone I know, many who work in the retail work force. It is what it is. Don’t shoot the messenger.
Another week goes by and again I witness workers and customers in the industrial area that still do not comply.
As for the people who feel I discriminated (against) them, I do not apologise as I continue to see them totally ignoring COVID restrictions so if you don’t like to be pointed out, then follow the rules .
For example, stay home unless necessary. Also maintain social distance, wear a mask, wash your hands when entering a business.
I and many others do not care how fat your wallet is like the store owners do.
As for me being a redneck, nope, I do not qualify as I do have a education, I have morals and I’m not uneducated.
As a person coming from the east coast I will say we have been harassed discriminated, belittled by all corners of this country.
So please don’t lay a racist card towards me.
I really like the saying “the more people I meet in life the more I like my dog.”
Perhaps others should also take a good look in the mirror.
