Gone but never to be forgotten

By Letter to the Editor on July 16, 2021.

Editor:
On July 7, Mel Godlonton passed away. He was a loving, caring Great grandpa, grandpa, father and friend. His wit and humour were always displayed in his many “Toasts” & Letters to the Editor in the Lethbridge Herald.
He was very proud of our city and always looked for the good in every situation. From his service on the Lethbridge Police Service to his last career, recycling technician for the Salvation Army (dumpster diver) he attached everything with passion and vigour. He was collateral damage of the COVID pandemic. Gone but not forgotten.

My condolences to your family, Miles. May I ask what you meant by this? “ He was collateral damage of the COVID pandemic.”
