On behalf of The War Amps, I would like to thank reporter Dale Woodard (August 12) for featuring Shelby Smith, who grew up with The War Amps Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program.
 Stories like this help bring important awareness to the many vital programs we offer for all Canadian amputees, including veterans and children.
 Although the Association has provided more than 100 years of innovative programs, there is still much to do to ensure amputees across Canada have the support they need. With the public’s continued support of The War Amps Key Tag Service, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, our commitment remains to improve the lives of amputees like Shelby long into the future.
