Since the article in the paper Aug. 5, and the news, the City has acknowledged our concerns and it appears they have added more resources to Legacy Park.
On behalf of a few friends, neighbours and myself, we would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who has pitched in to help and the positive feedback and the thank you’s we’ve received.
Thank you to the inmates that were out there for days pulling weeds. To some of the City employees, you know who you are, that stopped to thank us give us positive feedback and helped if they could.
To Al Beeber of the Lethbridge Herald for taking the time to do the story and Erik Bay of Global News for doing a story, as well. I don’t think we would be as far as we are with Legacy Park if not for their articles. Thank you.
Although this is an ongoing issue, we will continue to monitor the progress of Legacy Park maintenance and upkeep, including the care of our living assets as promised by the city in their interview.
Hopefully next year, the pump house that’s sunk and never worked will be one of the top issues to finding a solution to it.

As a member of a mature area of Lethbridge who pays their property tax every year who the city has forgotten about you’re welcome. Don’t get me wrong I’m glad that you got the city to respond to your concerns, I just wish the city would pay some attention to the potholes that you could lose your car in as well as the alleys and sidewalks that are literally falling apart. Hint: 23 st north as well as 30 st north are 2 that come to mind
