Premier needs to resign over COVID pandemic

According to the Government of Canada’s COVID 19 Daily Epidemiology update: 
Over the last 7 days, Canada’s total COVID case count was 30,335.
Over the last seven days, Alberta’s total COVID case count was 11,445.
Canada’s population is about 39 million. Alberta’s population is about 4.5 milion. In plain language, we have about 10 per cent of Canada’s total population and over 33 per cent of Canada’s COVID cases. Why has our premier and his government not resigned?
