Shame on you, Lethbridge Herald, for printing the kind of trash that spewed from the mouth of Dennis Bremner in his Jan. 6 Letter to the Editor.
You now share the blame in spreading unintelligent, uninformed, unfounded, and nonfactual information when you published his racist rant on those that live on the fringes of society and those flighting to help them.
I expect better judgement from your editorial staff.

So just what is it that you can counter other than blame the messenger(s)

Mr. Hannam said, “You now share the blame in spreading unintelligent, uninformed, unfounded, and nonfactual information when you published his racist rant”.
There were many that agreed with Mr. Bremner’s general points. However, there were some that made racism accusations toward Mr. Bremner, and towards many of the commenters that aligned with Mr. Bremner’s letter. Yet, when those that claimed “racism” were asked to point out their evidence of racism, they were unable or unwilling to produce any evidence of racism in regards to the letter, or the comments.
Constructive criticism and legitimate questions, aren’t racism. Granted, the letter could have been written in more of a polite and respectful manner, but that’s just the way Mr. Bremner almost always writes about anything.
Regarding “unfounded, uniformed, and nonfactual”. Well, similar to the racist accusations, there was no rebuttal to the points in the letter (or the comments that aligned with the letter) that disproved the numerous points raised. In fact, those that disagreed with the letter and similar comments, basically only produced emotional out bursts, unfounded racist allegations, some general non-sense, and nothing of any relevant value or substance (just like this letter by Mr. Hannam)

And yet, the author does not provide any proof to support his comments? If this is the authors opinion why not spend a little time explaining the facts?
Racism and Racist calls are extremely difficult to defend oneself from. If you speak in truth about a situation and that truth is a difficult topic then Racism can always be used as the card to avoid addressing the content, its a “great catch-all”!
It is very much like being Anti-SCS, if you are against an SCS you must be “for killing people” because SCSs are “savin lives”! There is no counter argument to any of these shots without deep explanation!
Where are your supporting facts Mr Hannam or is it that you just don’t like the comments and decided they were racist because you have no facts? One liners are always used by people who cannot justify their comments
Mr. Wort Hannam, you resort to personal attacks “unintelligent, uninformed, unfounded, and nonfactual” but provide nothing of substance to back your attacks. One of the great things about democracy is freedom of speech and that is what Mr. Bremner has exercised. Many wholeheartedly agreed with his view point.
And your words differ from Dennis’ in what way?
