Canadians need to focus on our healthcare worker heroes

Now that the truck parade is winding out of Ottawa I hope we can refocus on the true heroes of our times – health workers who look after the very sick, mainly unvaccinated COVID patients. As well as overworked nurses and doctors, let’s not forget military personnel who have come to support the above. Imagine lying sick in a crowded ICU and finding a trucker at your bedside.

That is the most reprehensible comment ever. Truckers , remember ,were our heroes till Jan 15 when they became 2nd class. If you want to see good people take a drive attend a rally . A trucker gives, not takes.

there are indeed truckers that not only have chosen to vax but who also support vax mandates. i support their choice to vax, or not. i stand for the right to have sole and complete ownership over my body, and for the end to animal torture, serial and otherwise. it is repulsive that people, so many, support serial animal torture, and support snuffing out the conscience of others with their support of forced vaxing.
i have asked before, but i will ask again: how is it that one supports serial animal torture? how is it that one supports the snuffing out of a person’s right to their body and to their conscience?

Larry Albertans will never be able to repay what these reformers put them through. Now that 140 doctors have left they want to waste another $6 million of taxpayers money on trying to buy back replacements when they should never have been driven out in the first place.
Those of us who have relatives in other provinces know it didn’t happen there. They have created a nightmare for us seniors, some have already lost their doctors and they don’t care about Albertans who have been told that it’s too late to operate on their cancer and they only have a short time o live.

exactly – so paranoid as to lend firm support to the totalitarian and autocratic idea that govt owns one’s body. and paranoid it is: 2 years of covid, 8 billion humans, just 290 million or so cases, and 5.6 million covid attributed deaths, of which the utmost are 80 plus WITH comorbidity. now, even if covid was actually a wretched killer, and was taking down large numbers that are healthy, it would still not mean govt owns one’s body. but paranoid does make people act irrationally, and here we are: people made so afraid of something they are so quick to determine they now own the bodies of others, in some false hope it will save their miserable, frightened asses. so frightened, that they full out support torturing animals – whatever it takes – in the hope of saving their miserable, frightened asses.
how quickly truckers have gone from being sold to us as heroes (along with store clerks…now so forgotten and hacking away again at min wage and min hours) to help paint the official covid narrative of “we are all in this together. lol, as if. let me reference a sophie entry to a news article a few days ago, where she triumphantly called truck drivers “whitey boomers.” somehow that racist entry is somehow ok with the herald? to also reference a sophie entry, from today, where she determines truckers are “antivax terrorists.” furthermore, she equated them, along with cops, as “klan” types.
i used to chuckle at right wing zealots, who stated that the “left” is a bunch of bullies that seek to defame and insult in their attempt to shut down free speech so as to push their agenda. while i am not at all on board with right wing views and practices, i have increasingly come to see glaring examples of their point – these herald threads are increasingly rife with examples.
i am still at a loss to comprehend how a person comes to feel their rights extend into the body of another. it is outrageous. given the comments coming from the chicken littles equating those choosing to not covid vax as terrorists, selfish, and who further resort to racist and otherwise ignorant attacks, i am growing concerned that the covid vaxes may have a profound adverse effect on intelligence and decency.
Let me see if I get this straight. The truckers involved in the blockade at the border have gone from hero status to, well, something else. I guess being associated with racists and bigots, and mounting a demonstration in solidarity with a group of defecating hooligans in Ottawa who have presented a list of demands that include dissolution of the sitting government might do that.

Fact Check: The CDC lists various vaccines that contain aluminum but the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines are not on the list.
