We live in Sunridge and there is quite an extensive park here. As has been mentioned by other writers who live near a city park things were looking very wild and unkempt earlier in the summer.
Then a big gang of workers came in, pruned, cut grass, and did a fair bit of weeding around the treed areas. I was happy with the result, it was a couple of days work with several workers and machines involved.
However, the beds where the shrubs were, of which there are several, were full of weeds and the shrubs all in need of pruning.
Two young women came by in a city truck last week and in one day they cleaned out all the weeds and pruned all the shrubs, it was a tremendous effort for a pretty big job.
I just wanted to thank them and tell them that their hard work was very much appreciated.

Great. Now maybe they can clean up the Crowsnest Trail of knee-high weeds, dead trees and grass, and tents. Such a welcoming sight for visitors to our city. What a dump!
