Editor,
Since our “commoners” letters regarding the foreign interest of Northback mining coal in our beautiful province to Ms. Smith and her provincial assistants and the Alberta Energy Regulator fall on deaf ears (with an automatic form letter starting out with “good day” no less), I wonder if writing now to Julie Dabrusin, Prime Minister Carney’s newly appointed minister of environment and climate change, would be a positive and better move.
Her contact emails are ministre-minister@ec.gc.ca and Julie.Dabrusin@parl.gc.ca
For a complete list of Federal ministers, go to pm.gc.ca
I also think we should thank our Lethbridge West MLA, Rob Miyashiro, for tabling Chris Spearman’s Water for Food petition in Parliament.
After all, Alberta is for all of us! And our health and well-being and all fellow creatures’ well-being and our mainstay industry of agriculture matter much more than the almighty dollar!

Good Day Pat, your mention that “I also think we should thank our Lethbridge West MLA, Rob Miyashiro, for tabling Chris Spearman’s Water for Food petition in Parliament.” Please provide reference to this, as Rob is a MLA (by default) and NOT a MP how and when did he “table Chris Spearman’s babble” in Parliament?
6000 signatures is not ‘Babble’
Agree, but 6000 signatures on a pension question or separation question or anything else the mob disagrees with would be babble, correct.
