UCP government not offering aid to those who need it most

Seeing the raft of challenges Danielle Smith has dumped on people with disabilities, I can’t help but wonder why? Why in God’s name would she and her colleagues do these things? Don’t they believe in their hearts and minds that they ought to do good for their fellow Albertans?
But just look at what has happened this year: Funding removed from self-advocate groups, rent protections deleted, Alberta’s AISH income support reduced by $200 to negate the Canada Disability Benefit (CDB).
And now, with the passage of Bill 12, everyone receiving disability support is required to move to a sketchy new program that affects income, the right to appeal, qualification procedures, and diminishes legal protections.
It is easy to anticipate what will result: increased poverty, homelessness, and hunger. I thought the God-fearing members of the government would care more for people with disabilities.
But, apparently, they stopped reading their Bibles before they reached 1 John: 17-18:
“If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?”

It’s a well known fact in our true conservative world that these Reformers are only interested in destroying everything our conservative heroes under Lougheed and Getty created for us and don’t show any respect for those they are hurting.
Wasting another $238 million on this coal mining stupidity and making impossible to help those who need help is just plain stupid, when they were the ones who created it, by destroying the protection Lougheed put on our mountains is a no-brainer, isn’t it?
They are nothing more than a branch of the American Republican Party who they admire and find it smart to promote their Right to Bare Arms and don’t care who gets killed by these maniacs, that’s how stupid they are, aren’t they?
The faster we get this idiots kicked out with Recall Petitions the better off we will be, won’t we?

Charles I am a really pissed off conservative because of my background. As a former Royal Bank Manager with ties to the oil industry I know what our children could have had if these idiots hadn’t destroyed Lougheed’s oil and corporate tax structures.
My late parents and two sisters spent countless hours volunteering for the Lougheed and Getty governments. A brother in-law voluntarily flew the government plane for them, in his spare time. Lougheed’s energy minister Bill Dickie was a brother in-law of one of my uncles and dad donated around $30,000.to the Alberta Progressive Conservative Party over the years and I got to know a lot of the Social Credit and Conservative MLAs over the years.
When Klein became premier after our family had known him and his family since 1960 and he almost killed my father with his health care cuts and I met people who did lose loved ones because of what Klein had done. I will never forget how furious his father Phil and daughter Angie were with him for what he had done.
Not to mention the nurses bawling their eyes out in my office, as a Royal Bank Manager when Klein destroyed their careers. Some were single moms with teenage kids and they could no longer afford to pay their mortgage payments and I had no way of helping them, and it really pissed me off, wouldn’t it you? I helped 9 doctors and at least 2 dozen nurses relocate out of this province and not one wanted to go, their families were here. One doctor said it best “ Why should I stay in Alberta and support my patients when my patients have refused to support me against this tyrant Ralph Klein “? Why should anyone support these ignorant seniors who are so dumb they can’t see what these Reformers have done to our children’s future?
What made it worse was knowing what some of Klein’s own family was like. Like ours they were not willing to support this idiot while ignorant Albertans couldn’t get enough of his stupidity and now look at the financial mess Albertans are in because of these Reformers. While none of the lawyers, accountants, economists, bankers and former MLAs we know can see anyway out of it, can you?
No. Of course not. I fight personal health problems and no sleep now.
That was a huge amount of history about yourself and I thank you. You opened my eyes wide and also misted them emotion. Hopeful for no spiteful, vindictive, answer upon you and yours from our rulers.

I went through hell because of Klein’s stupidity knowing the people he was hurting, and feeling sorry for them.
A group of lawyers , lead by Marilyn Burns, who had created the Alberta Alliance Party, to fight Klein’s stupidity, which in 2008 became the Wildrose Party , in 2003 asked me to become their leader knowing how upset I was with what Klein was doing to us. I declined knowing my wife was retiring in two years and we were planning to do a lot of travelling which we have done.

I have a cousin who spent 14 years in china and 7 years in South Korea building nuclear power plants and speaks fluent Chinese and Korean. He has always been impressed by what they are trying to do to get their air pollution under control. Their massive solar panel fields are very Impressive.
Pull up the Giant Panda Solar Panel China has recently built its very impressive. My father was a Power Plant Engineer and he would have been impressed he promoted putting solar panels on roofs in southern Alberta for years and got laughed at by ignorant Albertans. Those that took his advice said it was the smartest thing they ever did, especially after Klein deregulated it. It made them money.
Multiple people suffered because of Ralph Klein’s stupidity, and the UCP are the same. Even Ralph Klein’s own family members tried to stop him from getting into politics, because they knew he would be no good. He didn’t listen. Peter Lougheed wasn’t impressed with Ralph Klein, and can you blame him?
A close friend of mine who passed away a couple of years ago told me that it got so bad with him that he wasn’t getting any sleep at all. He was so upset by what these Reformers were doing to our children’s future that he couldn’t sleep and his wife thinks that it killed him.
What upset him the most was the fact that fellow seniors showed no concern for what they were doing to us, that’s how stupid they are, isn’t it? Making up idiotic excuses to protect them proves how stupid they are.
It isn’t hard to understand why Alberta has the highest percentage of people needing Food Bank help in North America we are told is it?

With every conservative government in this province, I think, “It couldn’t get any more corrupt and callous”. Then a new iteration appears, and it is always worse. This particular government is shocking in it’s cruelty, authoritarianism, and graft. These people are ogres and goblins, enemies of goodness & kindness.
So how do we get rid of them when these idiot seniors see nothing wrong with what they are doing?
Ironically I met a former university professor from Germany in 2003 who told me that we were going through the exact same thing the Germans saw in Germany in the 1930s and now we have seen it in the US also.
He was right every population of any country in the world is mainly made up of weak minded easily fooled idiots and you can’t stop them. That’s why dictators become so powerful and their reigns usually ends in bloodshed. I think he was right don’t you?
It’s also the younger generations who are influenced by their parents, grandparents, and great grandparents on how to vote. This doesn’t help.
yup, sick that the ucp stole the federal funding sent to help those on disability; and, further to their bullying style, they find new ways to kick them. meanwhile, they are ever so generous when it comes to graft and pocket lining. god bless their “religious” bodies.
meanwhile, it seems like our most esteemed religious ones that are ever backing the ucp are left to have to dig even deeper into their god-loving pockets to help the less fortunate…or, they will have to create a spun narrative that justifies the good fortune they all enjoy, as well justifies why those in need deserve their plight. of course, the usual of those in this forum will be sure to tell us as little.

The UCP and Danielle Smith are the most corrupt and dishonest political party and premier Alberta ever had, and these church goers and church pastors can’t even see that. They are part of the problem by blindly supporting them. Ralph Klein was also very bad, and these church goers and church pastors got behind him. Very foolish, because there is nothing Conservative about the UCP, and there was nothing Conservative about Ralph Klein.
Anyone who did vote for the UCP ought to be ashamed of themselves. Also, anyone who knew people who said that they were voting for the UCP, and didn’t speak out against them, should be ashamed of themselves. You enabled them, and contributed to the problems we now have. Church attendees and church pastors who supported and voted for the UCP also should be ashamed of themselves. There is nothing Conservative about the UCP.
