Doctors don’t need contract distractions during pandemic

By Letter to the Editor on April 7, 2020.

Minister Shandro,

I heard with dismay and distress your comments about physician pay being rolled out now. You must not be aware we are in the midst of a pandemic!

Doctors need no distractions; you should be thanking them every day for their efforts.

Start playing nice with others, particularly those who hold our lives in their control. The huge effort they are putting in should be praised; they do not need the distraction of a bully.

Please back off this lunacy of contract talks, and let them do the critical job they are doing. Lead and support, not distract.
