Letters misinforming Herald readers about laboratory services here

By Lethbridge Herald on May 6, 2023.

Editor:

Re: Lab appointments for blood tests.

There are two labs in Lethbridge.  One on the south side, the other on the north side. My blood requisition was faxed to the north location and I did not need to make an appointment, but could do a “walk-in “ – I chose the latter.

The person seated next to me, and I had approximately a 10-minute wait after checking in.

The waiting room had persons coming and going at a great pace.  I was impressed by how organized the staff at Dynalife were.

Letters to the editor have persons giving too much misinformation which now has escalated to “disinformation” regarding our health services in Lethbridge.

I too had a similar experience at the lab. I did the “walk in” and was in and out in 15 minutes.

Well, since you do not even know where the labs are located I will take what you say and toss it out. The labs are on the West and Northside, not the Southside.

I have no doubt that Dynalife will eventually figure things out and manage to provide reasonable service most of the time – I’m already hearing more positive stories although still outweighed heavily by the negatives. I also have no doubt that by the time they do clean up their act, it will cost us more than the previous system and the jobs will be far worse than the ones they replaced.

is that how private for profit works? well, just so long as they do not get one of those darned unions in there, because unions are about socialism and stalin and get in the way of the ownership of people by the great folk that bring us the corporate world.

Never ever had issues with lab services and this new location on northside is just as fast and efficient as the hospital was, and I believe same personal!

I’ve done walk-in twice and scheduled once with my elderly father. All at the Northside location.
Walk-ins were both over 45 minutes, and the scheduled was 20.
So not great at all. Especially for a 97 year old.
I’ll pay union wages for a similar wait thanks.
Keep our Health Care Public.
The U.S. has already demonstrated that for profit doesn’t work
Stop trying to make the same stupid mistakes.
