Our council has spent many thousands of our dollars to install bike lanes along 4th Avenue in the downtown area which are rarely, if ever, used. Meanwhile many potholes from two winters ago remain and are simply getting bigger. The potholes from the past winter remain just that – potholes. We are now halfway through this summer so can someone please tell me when two winter’s worth of potholes might be fixed? At present we have to swerve from side to side simply to avoid this negligence.
Not impressed.
Would our council please pay attention to the majority and not to yet another vocal minority?

I’d say forget it, as our Council only listens to what it wants to hear. They listen to us like a person with dementia who can’t listen to reason.
I bet u that if one of our bike riders or pickle ball players complained about a pothole the whole street would be repaved. Council appears to react to suggestions/complaints from a small vocal minority or their buddies instead of listening to suggestions/complaints that would be to the benefit of the majority of citizens. Pickleball players have now been added to the enemy list?
Lawn bowlers may be next.
The formula is easy – if I personally benefit from something, it’s common sense. If I don’t personally benefit from it, it’s a woke ideological pet project.
The guy you’re responding to doesn’t play pickleball, therefore, waste of money.
Yes, like they took space away for the dog park in Peenaquim for the Pickle players. Heard that players are rarely there.
You “heard”, but no first-hand knowledge! Typical of the nonsense so often posted in this forum.
