Is Alberta really that smart by voting in UCP?

Mr. Ken Moore comments regarding the current Government in the March 4th edition of the Herald were spot on, and I totally agreed with his column until I got to the end of his column when he stated that Albertans are smarter than this. To that I would say “are they really?”. Lets just deal with the current Premier, Danielle Smith, she once argued that the risk of getting cancer from smoking cigarettes was grossly exaggerated by health experts and that smoking had special health benefits. She is a separatist , she is anti vaccines, she is in favour of private health care, she believes in the chemtrail conspiracy ,and on and on it goes. In 1999 Danielle Smith along with the entire Calgary Board of Education was fired by the Alberta Education Minister. She was considered a disruptive and right wing anti-establishment voice on the Board. Obviously Danielle Smith has not changed over the years. So back to Mr. Moore’s line “Albertans are smarter than this”. Since 1986 Albertans voted Conservative, not including the Lougheed years and the brief period of an NDP Government. You vote for the same gang and expect different results?, not that smart. So what have Albertans to show for?, well a day older and deeper in debt.

I agree with Barney there is nothing smart about Albertans especially our seniors. I spent 32 years as a banker working in 16 different branches throughout Alberta and was the manager of 7 of them and the stupidity I have witnessed over the years brought on by these stupid seniors was sickening.
While they told me that it was wonderful how Klein was closing hospitals and cutting 5,000 nursing positions to save us billions of dollars they refused to believe the fact that he had destroyed Lougheed’s oil royalties and corporate taxes that would have easily paid for anything we needed, that’s how stupid they are. Members of Klein’s own family were so disgusted with him for what he was doing to Albertans they were urging Albertans to vote NDP and kick him out.
But these idiot seniors called him a hero. To stupid to realize he was putting their lies at risk. I knew of 8 deaths attributed to his health care cuts and one was almost my father after he had donated $30,000. to their party and spent countless hours volunteering for them.
A few years ago in Calgary in keeping with this Reform Party insanity of deliberately destroying everything Conservative Governments have created for the good of the people Pierre Poilievre was given a standing ovation by mainly seniors for promising to destroy the CBC and it’s 9,700 jobs if he was elected Prime Minister that’s how stupid these people are. If it doesn’t affect them they don’t give a damn about you, that’s their attitude and they show no respect for our children and grandchildren’s future. That’s how stupid they are, isn’t it.
Seniors who work the polling stations have told us repeatedly that the majority of the people they see voting are seniors and they are the ones keeping these Reformers in power, that’s how stupid they are.
It was seniors who voted for this Reform Party clown Poilievre in Calgary and showed the Conservatives in Ottawa no respect for having reasons to kick him out and people who were there were disgusted by the stupidity they witnessed, especially the ones who had relatives in Ottawa.
I was a card carrying Conservative for 31 years and made certain I attended as many of their functions as a I could especially after Klein was elected, having known him since were 17 years old and knowing what a jerk he was. The attendance was almost always 80 to 85% seniors and it was sickening watching these seniors believing every lie he fed them, giving him standing ovation after standing ovation proving how stupid they were, Klein loved how stupid they were, and nothing has changed they are still doing it and don’t give a damn about what it’s doing to this province while Alaskans and Norwegians are living like Kings.
Too stupid to realize what they could have had.
What is most ignorant is someone that continues to repeat a lie because it suits their narrative.
Using eligible voter data, there was approximately 2.4million eligible voters in Alberta in 2022. In 2022 there were 704,000 seniors above the age of 65
Lets play Fedups little game. Lets suppose every dimentia ridden, comatose, nearly dead voted for the UCP which is what would have to happen to allow Fedup to continue his ludicrous narrative. Last election 1.7million people voted. Which means, that 41% (if every senior voted UCP) cast thier vote (assuming comatose and dimentia ridden were allowed to vote.
For Fedups incessant rants on Stupid Alberta Seniors to work, EVERY “Stupid Senior would have to be Conservative and everyone would have to cast a vote”. But alas, even then its still only 41% of those that showed up. Worse yet it is less than 30% of elligible Albertan voters. The only stupid senior here is an ex-bank manager who can’t do basic math.
Latest Polls have Smith ahead of Nenshi by 13% , pollsters don’t just poll comatose ex bankers…..your math lacks a biggy and you can’t figure it out unless you are spoon fed facts.

In keeping with what the retired lawyers have stated at our morning coffee gatherings over the years. “ You can call a thousand seniors stupid and the only ones you will offend are the stupid ones. The rest know you don’t mean them and they do know who you do mean, they will agree with you”.
As part of the stupid group Dennis hasn’t been smart enough to understand why no one agrees with anything he says, and he can’t handle the truth, he isn’t man enough, is he ? These Reformers love how stupid they are because they can feed them any lies they want to and they believe it, that’s how stupid they are, aren’t they? Ralph Klein made no bones about it he loved how stupid they were, and it’s why we are in financial ruin because of them. It was Klein who said “Albertans aren’t smart enough to understand what our plans are for healthcare reform so we aren’t going to tell you what they are”.
Unfortunately it’s a well known fact that they outnumber the rest of us at about two to one which is why we can’t put a stop to this insanity and they certainly don’t show any respect for our children or grandchildren’s future that’s how stupid they are.
Of course it would never occur to guys like Dennis to ask the question why is Alberta in financial ruin and no other oil rich area in the world is?
Had he bothered to follow what’s happening in Alaska or Norway or gone to those countries, like I have, and talked to the people maybe he wouldn’t be questioning my remarks ?

We have Rick Bell, one of the great Postmedia fiction writers, and stooges for the UCP and Danielle Smith. He will be sitting over his desk crying, when his beloved queen Danielle Smith, and the UCP, are taken down by their massive amounts of corruption, deceitfulness, and incompetence.What kind of fiction is he going to write about then? Is he still going to write lies about Naheed Nenshi and the NDP? The UCP has done very costly debacles that have even cost billions of dollars. We have the highest rate of food bank usage in Canada, and the highest number of children going to school hungry in Canada. Alberta has the highest number of measles cases in North America. We also have a record number of flu deaths in recent years, at 250 people. The UCP has broken election promises. ADAP for AISH, will drive people on AISH further into poverty than they already are. Teachers and students in the public education system in Alberta, have been shortchanged by the UCP. Public healthcare is in crisis, and the UCP just blew $2.3 billion trying to deal with their massive failure of dismantling AHS. Unwanted open pit coal mining is going ahead in a the Rockies of Alberta, and the environment will be compromised, while the mountains are destroyed. An Alberta Provincial Police Force, which is unwanted, is now going ahead with a price tag of at least $1.5 billion. Seniors are struggling with added costs. An unwanted Alberta Provincial Pension Plan is being pursued. Alberta has the highest power prices in Canada. Democracy is a joke to the UCP and Danielle Smith, who also think they are above the law.
These pollsters will be in for a shock too, because the UCP and Danielle Smith are going to see their end. You can’t see how bad the UCP and Danielle Smith are, yet others can?

I find it hilarious Dwayne that while these mindless seniors like Dennis have called us liars, traitors , communists, left wing nuts, closet liberals or socialists over the years the intelligent people like lawyers, doctors, nurses, teachers, accountants, economists, bankers, oil executives, and former social credit and conservative MLAs that we’ve talked to all agree with us. Proving how stupid they are.
I have even had oil executives tell me that no one in the oil industry asked Ralph Klein to destroy Peter Lougheed’s oil royalties or corporate tax structures and they certainly didn’t ask him to dump the oil well cleanup mess in our laps, but after watching these stupid Albertans accepting it, and watching them continue supporting Klein why would they want it to stop when it was making them all rich, would you?
We know Albertans have been cheated out of $1.2 trillion and one former oil executive thinks it’s $1.4 trillion that’s how bad it is, and it’s our children and grandchildren who are going to be in trouble, isn’t it?
These Reformers and the ignorant fools who support them don’t care and they aren’t smart enough to understand it, are they?
I wonder if Dennis ever bothered to read the articles Dwayne refers him to, I doubt he ever does, don’t you? These mindless seniors are so much smarter than the rest of us and can’t handle the truth they refuse to believe the truth, they can’t handle it, that’s how stupid they are.
So 7 senior idiots don’t agree with me out of a population of some 113 thousand people that’s how stupid they are as lawyers would say you obviously have it right, most people agree with you. So why aren’t they voicing their concerns like I am?
Because as they tell me most of their friends and family members are these mindless seniors I talk about and they don’t want to upset their families, that’s how stupid this has become, hasn’t it?
I know I had family members who where the same, they thought Klein was a hero, as they paid some of the highest costs of living in North America while he cheated them out of their oil and corporate tax wealth, that’s how stupid they were.
