AT THE LEGISLATURE
Nathan Neudorf – MLA for Lethbridge East
As we embark on a new year, I want to take this opportunity to reflect on the work being done on behalf of the residents of Lethbridge-East and all Albertans. It has been an honour to serve as your MLA, as well as in my role as Minister of Affordability and Utilities.
Every day, I am reminded of the privilege of representing this incredible community and the trust placed in me to advocate for Lethbridge-East. Whether it’s at the Legislature or around the city, I am committed to ensuring that the needs and priorities of our riding are heard, addressed, and advanced.
Beyond my role as Minister, I sit on six cabinet committees, each dedicated to improving outcomes for Albertans. As vice-chair of Treasury Board, I focus on ensuring responsible financial stewardship. On the Public Compensation Review Committee, I participate in the 6 different public sector negotiations currently taking place, with an interest to prioritize affordability for Albertans, and on the Productivity Review Committee, I work with my colleagues to find ways to do more with less, ensuring ministries operate efficiently and effectively for all Albertans. Additionally, on the Alberta First Committee, I advocate for policies that prioritize Albertans’ needs first and foremost. These efforts don’t just lead to positive results provincially—they have a direct and tangible impact here in Lethbridge.
Locally, I have been proud to advocate for our post-secondary institutions, which serve as pillars of education, innovation, and opportunity in southern Alberta. The transition of Lethbridge College to a polytechnic institution and the establishment of the University of Lethbridge’s rural medical training program are two significant milestones that will benefit our community for decades to come. These advancements strengthen our healthcare system, create opportunities for students, and bolster Lethbridge’s reputation as a hub for education and research.
Additionally, advocating for the provincial funding to upgrade Lethbridge’s water and wastewater treatment facilities was a top priority. This critical investment supports not only our city but also surrounding communities and industries. The improved infrastructure ensures we remain positioned to support our agriculture industry, foster economic diversification, and attract further investment to our region.
As we look ahead, 2025 promises to be an exciting year. With new legislation coming this spring to address the electricity market and many other initiatives underway, I remain optimistic about the opportunities before us. Our work is far from done, and I am committed to continuing to advocate for Lethbridge and its residents while delivering positive outcomes for all Albertans.
To the residents of Lethbridge-East, thank you for your ongoing support and trust. It is a privilege to represent such a vibrant and resilient community. Together, we can make 2025 a year of progress and opportunity for Lethbridge and Alberta as a whole.

There is no doubt that your hard work and integrity has and continues to resonate in our community.
Since July of 2024 you not only fullfilled your role as MLA for Lethbridge East but also shouldered the needs and requests of the constituents of Lethbridge West (of which I am a one). You and your office served us well, and I personally thank you for addressing a matter I presented in August.
The additional work load of Lethbridge West, you assumed after we (Lethbridge West constituents) were poorly served by former MLA Shannon Phillips (NDP) and then she abruptly desserted us with no apparent reason. (Albeit she did not support Naheed Nenshi who was eventually chosen to lead the Alberta Provincial NDP).
Mr Nuedorf, you are greatly appreciated and you ARE an excellent MLA in and for our community. Thank you!
?
I’m curious…if Nathan did such and excellent job for west Lethbridge how come NoHope got his ass handed to him this last election?
What a pile of butt-kiss!
One has to remind oneself that one of the characteristics of an authoritarian personality is the speed at which they roll onto their back for a more dominant dog. We know HPs tail is curled between his legs in this post.
“Individuals who endorse far right ideology often have an increased desire for obedience to authority, order, purity, familiarity, structure, and a rigid worldview mentality.”

Finished genuflecting yet?
And regarding your reference to Phillips. That she left is tue, but the reason she left is perhaps because of the stress from hateful rhetoric she received and having to deal with the fallout from police eavesdropping and using their positions to illegally investigate her. All because they deemed her a threat because of her opposition to projects which were environmentally destructive.
You may disagree with someone , but subjecting a person to such vitriolic condemnation publicly and privately, could break the proverbial camel’s back no matter the resilience of some.
Hang in there Nathan. As ur leader goes thru AHS CEOs u might eventual get this plum job. Then after ur replaced in about a year u will be able to retire comfortably on the signing bonus and severance package. Course there is also the APP job openings.
“Why the UCP Is a Threat to Democracy. Political scientist Jared Wesley makes the case. And explains how Albertans should push back.”

Not one word about how millions of us are opposed to open pit coal mining and the threat to our environments and waters, the ongoing southern Alberta drought, how Albertans have overpaid for years by $billions for electricity, preparations for how Trump 25% tariffs could devastate Alberta’s oil and gas and beef industries, the UCP gong show mess with health care, the underfunding of public education and postsecondary institutions, the underfunding of urban and rural municipalities….all the train wreck that it is.
And then we have this delusional waxing poetic by this UCP MLA?
“…on the Alberta First Committee, I advocate for policies that prioritize Albertans’ needs first and foremost.”
So say you, Mr. Neudorf. However,
Where is your advocacy for the headwaters of our only water source, the Old Man River?
Where is your advocacy for the environment in the eastern slopes of the Rockies?
Against the taunts and threats from the convicted felon in waiting in Washington DC, where is your bipartisan advocacy for Alberta as a province within the sovereign nation of Canada? By what means do you justify the upcoming entourage by the premier and company to Washington DC, all on the Alberta taxpayers’ dime?
Finally, where is your advocacy for democracy as your constituents daily witness the consolidation of power in the office of the premier and cabinet?

Is this your idea, Mr. Neudorf, of improving the outcomes for Albertans?
